Conner Bailey
Conner was the first to join The Scratch Pad Youth Team. Conner has been competing in the world of rock climbing for years but has loved the sport of ice climbing and has been wildly successful. Conner is on the US National Team and has competed in regional comps at The Scratch Pad, The Ice Coop, in New York, and in Ouray where he took first place this past season at the Ouray Ice Festival. Conner is well known in the competition ice climbing community and known for his outgoing personality.

Landers Gaydosh
Landers is a force to be reckoned with. He has been climbing and competing most of his life, but joined The Scratch Pad Youth Team in the fall of 2021 where he picked up ice tools for the first time. Four months later and he was standing on the podium in first pace at the UIAA Youth World Championship in Sass Fee Switzerland. He successfully defended his title the following year in Finland and again this past season in France.

Mathias Olsen
Mathias joined the Scratch Pad Youth Team in 2022 and has quickly taken to the sport. Mathias comes to us from the world of competitive rock climbing. He has competed in regional comps hosted at The Scratch Pad, New York, and Ouray. Mathias made the US National Ice Climbing Team and took second place at the Ouray Ice Festival competition in 2024. He is a strong and determined climber and has improved his ice climbing tremendously since he first picked up his tools.
Join Our Team
The Scratch Pad Youth Team is a great way to teach kids strength, determination, focus, perseverance, and many other life skills. Our Youth Team meets and trains together as a team each week. We travel to comps and prepare the youth to try out for the US National Youth Ice Climbing team where they have the opportunity to compete around the world.
