Utah has a new climbing gym in Bountiful! The Scratch Pad has returned with a new location in Bountiful Utah. The Scratch Pad is Utah’s only drytooling gym, and one of only a few drytooling gyms in the US. We also offer regular rock climbing as well.
The Scratch Pad offers a variety of open climbing options, memberships, classes, competitions, training groups, and more!

Youth 6-12 Rock Climbing Club
Rock climbing club for kids ages 6-12. Meets Tuesdays or Thursdays from 4-5pm at The Scratch Pad. Youth will learn essential climbing skills including strength, balance, fortitude, creativity, and problem solving in a supportive group setting. Includes a premium membership at The Scratch Pad for climbing outside of club times.

Ever wondered what it’s like to climb using ice tools… without the ice?
Drytooling is one of the most exciting, challenging, and downright addictive ways to climb — and it’s the perfect way to keep your skills sharp year-round.Whether you’re brand new to the sport or already have some ice or mixed climbing experience, our Intro to Drytooling class will help you build confidence, master technique, and push your limits in a fun, supportive environment.

Ice Ready: 12-Week Pre-Season Climbing & Fitness Program
Our Ice Ready program is a focused, 12-week training experience designed to build the strength, endurance, and technique you need to send hard once the temps drop and the ice comes in.
Led by Mark White — a seasoned climber and professional fitness trainer who has trained elite athletes and soldiers alike — this program blends structured climbing with a science-backed fitness regimen to prepare your body for the unique demands of ice and mixed climbing.
